- is it safe to use a rice cooker on top of a mini fridge?
i have nowhere to put my rice cooker except on top of my mini bar fridge. but because the rice cooker heats and the fridge keeps cold i dont know if its such a good idea
A Hi Andrew, I have a rice cooker myself. I don't believe putting a rice cooker on top of the fridge will cool it down unless the cooker is inside the fridge. Be sure to leave space between the fridge and other cabinets to get better circulation and I would try limiting the amount of times you open the fridge when cooking. Other than that I would be more concerned of the hot cooker melting the the plastic on the fridge which is why I keep mine on a simple wooden plank when cooking. Wood is a great insulator to keep things warm and will not melt when hot like plastic does. Hope this helps

- how do i treat a finger after i accidentally put it on the top of a rice cooker? It ha a lot of hot steam.?
The rice cooker was still cooking at the time, i tried putting it in a big jar of cold water for 20 minutes, when i take it up, it still burns, even underwater.
A put it under cold RUNNING water!!! if you put it in a jar the water in the jar will warm up. it may take a while but you need to leave it under cold running water for as long as it takes to cool down. do not put any cream on it until it is completly cool. once it has cooled down bandage it to stop infections, make sure to replace the bandage often and keep the burn clean.
