- How do I cook rice perfectly with an induction cooker?
I've recently bought an induction cooker and have just tried to cook rice on it and got it overcooked. Can somebody help me figure out the exact watts needed and time it needs? It's a Philips HD4918 (http://www.philips.com.hk/c/home-cooking/8-menus-8-power-lcd-with-timer-silver-hd4918_10/prd/en/). I have here in the settings are 400, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, and 2000 watts. Thanks!
A I find the only way to cook rice perfectly is to boil in a lot of water. I have tried the "boil all the water away" methods and they never work! To boil on your induction cooker, set it to the boil program Test a few grains of rice with a teaspoon to make sure the texture is exactly as you wish.
