The Neuro Fuzzy® Rice Cooker

ThinkGeek code monkey Jamie has one of these bad boys at his place and swears by it. No, no, he doesn't stand next to it and hurl expletives. Maybe you do that in the kitchen, but Jamie doesn't. He just pours in some rice and water, presses a couple buttons, and walks away, probably to brush out his luxuriously long locks. (Obviously because one doesn't do that in the kitchen.) When he returns, the rice is cooked to perfection and his hair is beautiful and shiny. The Fuzzy Rice Cooker features advanced logic technology, which allows it to think for itself and make adjustments to the temperature and timing of your batch of rice totally on the fly. A spherical inner cooking pan and heating system distributes heat evenly so the rice at the bottom is the same consistency as the rice on the top. It'll do brown rice, white rice, sushi rice, even oatmeal. For those nights you don't want to wait, a quick cook program will make white rice in just 15 minutes, exactly the amount of time it'll take you to make a stir fry out of all those vegetables in your crisper and that leftover rotisserie chicken.

How To Make Sushi Rice In A Rice Cooker Reviews - FAQ and Questions
- How to make the perfect Sushi rice without a rice cooker?
um yea the title says it all. I have tried making sushi before but the rice has never worked. i've always used sushi rice but it goes all mushy. How can i make sushi rice like the stuff you get in sushi bars without some sort of rice cooker? thanks
A Rice cookers can be pretty unreliable. For really good rice, I suggest a store such as Whole Foods. Do not use instant rice. The stuff they do to it to make it instant really makes it weird. To get sticky rice, you need to use the old-fashioned kind. I like Jasmine rice. It's tasty and sticky. Brown rice doesn't work.

- Im trying to make some sushi rice in a rice cooker?
i did look it up but they all say different things...and it needs about 3-4 cups of rice and im only going to need about 2 cups so how of rice vin, sugar and salt should i use to cook sushi rice in a rice cooker with 2 cups of rice??
A The amount of vinegar and the manner in which it is easoned with salt and sugar is up to personal preference. A little variation won't make a real difference. You'll want to use 2/14 cup Japanese style short or meduim grain rice. And about 2/14 cups water. 1/4 cup rice vinegar and 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons sugar and about 1 tsp salt. If you have sake, I'd suggest using 2 TBS. Set the rice cooker with a regular white rice cycle. I hope it turns out well. I love sushi! :-)
